This year, Mr Kelvin Chia and Mr Victor Go had the opportunity to shoot at the Chingay 2010. The parade is held at the Singapore F1 circuit, so that there are no unnecessary road closure. Compared to last year, this year’s Chingay has more display, and is a lot more exciting. Those at the Chingay also witness fire crackers going off at close distance. The smoke and noise generated really brings in the Chinese new year mood.

February 28th, 20102 Days E5 Cluster Student Leadership Camp
June 3rd, 2009It was indeed wonderful to see so many student leaders from the 12 schools in the E5 cluster coming together to learn about what it means to be an YOG Ambassador. Geylang Methodist School (Sec) and Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ School (Sec) photography club were task to cover the 2 days event. It was a tiring but rewarding experience, as the photography students learn how to manage covering the event and also producing slides shows at the same time.
Canon EF 135 F2L Lens trial.
March 9th, 2009Mr. Victor Go has the chance to test drive the Canon EF 135 F2L during the PLMGS Sports heats. This lens is lightning fast in AF and produce an amazing bokeh. The subject literally “POPs” out of the photo and whatever that is suppose to be in focus is super sharp. The color saturation and coner to coner sharpness is also very good. The EF135 F2L was design for portrait, but with its superb AF ability and huge aperture at F2, it is also a perfect lens for indoor sports photography.

Sentosa Flowers
February 2nd, 2009Mr. Victor Go (PLMGS) and Mr. Kelvin Chia (GMS) went to Sentosa on the 29th of Jan to shoot the flowers and bees with their Canon MPE 65mm Macro lens. This lens allows the user to shoot at 5x magnification, and is fully manual. Super difficult to use, but once you master it, it is a Gem!
